He averaged 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while helping his team to a 15-11 record."We wanted to add someone to our staff who had Furman ties." said Jackson. "Nick Sanders is a tremendous ambassador for Furman and a bright young coach."A native of Leavenworth, Kan., Sanders averaged 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game during his four-year career at Furman from 2002-05. As a senior during the 2004-05 campaign, he averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest while ranking as the Paladins' leader on the boards in 10 of 29 contests. His top effort came in a 14-point, 10-rebound performance at Georgia Southern (81-63, L) on February 5, 2005. The 6-foot-7 forward grabbed a career high 12 rebounds versus East Tennessee State as a junior.Sanders earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Furman in June of 2005.
